City of San Marcos Park Playground Renovation Completed at Santa Fe Hills Park

A new City of San Marcos park playground renovation project has just been completed at Santa Fe Hills Park by commercial playground company Pacific Play Systems. Located in San Marcos, CA, the one acre Santa Fe Hills Park is popular among local residents for its scenic views, access to hiking trails, open grass area, and playground. The park’s existing playground, having provided many many years of use, was finally due for a replacement. The City of San Marcos partnered with local Carlsbad-based Pacific Play to replace the park’s existing playground with a brand-new state-of-the-art Playcraft playground. Additionally, Pacific Play furnished and installed a new ADA ramp, sidewalk, safety surfacing, and age-appropriate signage at Santa Fe Hills Park, and also completed extensive site work.

The new San Marcos park playground at Santa Fe Hills will offer parents and children in the neighborhood a great reason to get out to the park and play. Featuring Pacific Play’s signature Playcraft line of equipment manufactured by Playcraft Systems, the park’s new playground is filled with value-packed play activities to keep children coming back again and again. The playground contains multiple Double Slides, four unique climbers, various activity panels, a twelve-foot Square Shade Sail Canopy towering over the playground, and much more. Designed for children ages two to twelve, the playground also features a colorful color scheme of tan decks, red posts, purple slides and panels, and blue climbers and railings.

The new larger playground at Santa Fe Hills Park will definitely offer increased play value for local residents, as will the other park upgrades completed during this renovation. For instance, beneath the new Playcraft playground, Pacific Play installed new engineered wood fibers safety surfacing to replace the park’s existing sand surfacing. And Pacific Play also installed a new concrete ADA ramp at Santa Fe Hills Park which will provide easy wheelchair access to the playground.

Finally, Pacific Play also completed a variety of site work at Santa Fe Hills Park. This site work included the removal and hauling of both the park’s existing playground and sand surfacing. The site work also included the removal and hauling of a section of the existing rubber surfacing and sidewalk surrounding the play area in order to expand the playground’s use zone. With the renovation project now complete, this City of San Marcos park playground is completely revamped and ready to provide many years of use to city residents.
