Carlsbad Playground Equipment Renovation Designed and Installed by Pacific Play Systems, Inc. at the Terraces at Sunny Creek HOA in Carlsbad, CA.

Pacific Play Systems’ most recent playground equipment renovation project at the Terraces at Sunny Creek HOA has just been opened for use by the HOA residents. Located only a few minutes away from Pacific Play’s Carlsbad office, the new HOA playground project includes a large Playcraft Play System, a single post swing set, and an age-appropriate sign.

The new play system, designed specifically for children between the ages of 5-12, is a hybrid play system containing both traditional play components as well as innovative play components from Playcraft’s “Revolution” line of commercial playground equipment. Multiple slides, a “gyro pod spinner,” a “360 degrees overhead horizontal ladder,” a 5 “bedrock climber,” and a large hex shade canopy, are just a few of the components included in the HOA’s exciting new play system.

Installation of the new playground equipment was preceded by demolition and removal of the existing playground equipment and removal of existing sand, dirt, concrete, and grass to create the required use zone for the new play system. The new playground equipment was installed over new engineered wood fiber safety surfacing, provided by Pacific Play Systems as well.

The Terraces at Sunny Creek Home Owner’s Association project also included the installation of a variety of new site amenities. These included a new concrete sidewalk, a new concrete ADA ramp providing wheelchair accessible entry into the play area, a new shade structure, trash receptacles, and a new 7′ square “Tree Bench.”

The new playground gave children of the HOA a place to look forward to. Do you have any great HOA playgrounds you would like to share? Leave us a comment below. We’d love to hear about it!
